Website Design & Development, Built From What You Actually Say
Most web design starts with a blank page and a deadline: “send over your content by Friday.” I do it differently. I interview you, pull out the detail that actually makes people buy, and write the site around it. You don’t write a word, you just answer honestly.
Proof it works
Hydro North East launched in January 2025 with zero digital footprint. Within 12 months the site was generating enough weekly enquiries that we had to add capacity warnings to the contact form and disable the direct WhatsApp button. Now ranked third locally for competitive plumbing searches, with a Google Map Pack placement ahead of bigger, longer-established companies.
Who this is for
- Service businesses and specialists who want the website to do real work, not sit there looking nice
- Owners willing to invest in professional photography, or plan for it
- Anyone who can review and approve content within agreed timelines, because the build can’t move without your input
Who this isn’t for
- E-commerce and product catalogue sites. I’ve moved away from these to focus on service businesses.
- Anyone who wants a quick brochure site with minimal involvement. The interview takes time because that’s where the useful content comes from.
- Anyone who can’t commit to reviewing content promptly. If this becomes a pattern mid-project, the project pauses until it’s resolved.
If that’s you, no hard feelings, but we’re probably not the right fit. I’d rather tell you now than waste your time later.
What you get
An interview, not a content form
Service pages, not one page that tries to do everything
Proof and FAQs built in, not bolted on
A clear next step on every page

We’ve helped businesses generate millions in revenue, provided years of reliable technical support, and rescued companies from digital disasters. But don’t take our word for it – here’s what our clients have to say.

We had a great experience working with Kane at Mitchell Digital. He really took the time to understand our business and what we wanted from the website, which made the whole process easy and stress-free. The finished site looks amazing, it reflects our branding perfectly, and has already made a big difference to the number of enquiries we’re getting. We couldn’t be happier with the result and highly recommend Mitchell Digital.

At Cosmetic Skin & Laser Center, we’ve had Kane as our web developer for one year and we’re so grateful for him! In addition to providing excellent website/WordPress support and maintenance, he goes above and beyond – truly caring about helping with design to boost conversion rates and strengthen your brand’s online reputation. Very highly recommended.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much does a website cost?
Builds start from u00a32,500. There’s no page-count package, because the number of pages your business needs depends on what you actually offer, not a tier I’ve picked in advance. You’re paying for the interview process, the content structure, and a build that’s built to convert, not a page count.
Isn't u00a32,500 expensive for a website?
Compared to a u00a3300 template site, yes. Compared to what a poor-converting website costs you in missed enquiries, no. You’re not paying for a page count, you’re paying for an interview process that gets your actual selling points onto the page, proof that builds trust, and a structure built to convert. If you just need something cheap and quick, I’m probably not the right fit, and that’s fine, there are cheaper options out there.
How long does it take?
Typically 5 to 6 weeks minimum from interview to launch, assuming content gets reviewed and approved promptly. The interview happens first, then content structure and copy for you to review, then the build, then launch. Timelines can run longer depending on how quickly content gets approved and what the build itself needs, so 5 to 6 weeks is the floor, not a guarantee.
Do I need to write any of the content myself?
No. That’s the point of the interview. I ask the questions, you answer them, I turn that into structured web copy. If you’ve got existing material (old site, reviews, past enquiries) I’ll use that too.
What if I don't like that you use AI in the process?
Fair question. AI helps me draft and structure copy faster once I’ve done your interview, but every word starts with what you actually said, not a prompt guessing at your business. Nothing goes live without me reading it, editing it, and making sure it sounds like you, not like a chatbot. If that’s still a dealbreaker, I’d rather know now than have you feel misled later.
What if I don't have professional photography?
Professional photography is one of the most important investments you can make alongside the build. AI-generated imagery has gotten so good that stock and AI photos barely stand out anymore, which makes real photos of you, your team, or your work even more valuable, because they’re what actually build trust and a human connection with visitors. We can still work together without them, but you’re unlikely to get the full value out of your investment. If budget’s the issue now, we’ll build the site to work without it first and slot real photography in when you’re ready.
Do you build e-commerce sites?
No, not any more. I’ve deliberately moved away from e-commerce to focus on service businesses where the interview-led approach and messaging clarity make the biggest difference.
What platform do you build on?
WordPress, using the same standardised stack (Beaver Builder, Gravity Forms, ACF) across the large majority of builds. That’s not a limitation, it’s what lets me troubleshoot fast and keep things reliable, because I know exactly how every site is put together.
