Beaver Builder Web Design and Custom Module Development

Beaver Builder isn’t the newest page builder, and that’s exactly why I still build on it. I started using it about six months after launch, one of the first to adopt it, and I’ve built on it from version 1 through to today. Around 90% of my client sites run on it, and every single one uses custom modules, some built entirely from scratch for that client’s specific needs. When Beaver Builder can’t do something out of the box, I don’t bolt on another plugin to patch the gap, I write the module myself.

Proof it works

Leixlip Amenities Centre, a community sports centre in Co. Kildare, needed a site their non-technical team could actually run themselves after launch. We built it on WordPress with Beaver Builder specifically for that reason: their team could update content, add classes, change schedules, and modify pages without calling a developer every time. The site has been live for over 6 years, still generates consistent enquiries, and around two-thirds of its traffic comes from organic search.

Who this is for

  • Businesses that want their own team to be able to edit the site, not depend on a developer for every content change
  • Businesses already on Beaver Builder who need functionality it doesn’t offer out of the box
  • Anyone looking for an experienced Beaver Builder developer to take over or extend an existing site

Who this isn’t for

  • Anyone chasing the newest, trendiest page builder for its own sake, rather than one with a decade-long track record of stability
  • Sites that need something closer to a custom web application than a marketing or service website
  • Anyone who can’t commit to reviewing content and functionality within agreed timelines, because the build can’t move without your input

If that’s you, no hard feelings, but we’re probably not the right fit. I’d rather tell you now than waste your time later.

What you get

Real client autonomy, not a locked-down site

Beaver Builder’s visual editing means your team can update content, swap images, and adjust pages without needing a developer for every small change. That’s a deliberate choice, not an accident: a site you can’t touch yourself isn’t actually yours.

Custom modules on every build, not a rare add-on

This isn’t something I reach for occasionally. Every Beaver Builder site I build includes custom modules, and some clients get modules built entirely from scratch for exactly what their business needs, not a generic plugin stacked on top to patch the gap.

A standardised, reliable stack

Beaver Builder, Gravity Forms, and ACF across the large majority of my builds. That’s not a limitation, it’s what lets me troubleshoot fast and keep things reliable, because I know exactly how every site is put together.

Takeover and extension of existing builds

If you’ve already got a Beaver Builder site, whether it’s yours or one built by someone else, I can take over hosting and support, or extend it with new functionality, without a full rebuild.

Genuinely fast, not just a marketing claim

Sites I build on Beaver Builder typically load in 700ms to 1000ms. Switching to a lighter setup like Kadence or the native block editor usually only saves around 200ms at the very best, and that’s if speed is the only thing you’re optimising for. Not enough of a difference to give up everything else Beaver Builder gets right.

We’ve helped businesses generate millions in revenue, provided years of reliable technical support, and rescued companies from digital disasters. But don’t take our word for it – here’s what our clients have to say.

5 star review from Tina Robson

We had a great experience working with Kane at Mitchell Digital. He really took the time to understand our business and what we wanted from the website, which made the whole process easy and stress-free. The finished site looks amazing, it reflects our branding perfectly, and has already made a big difference to the number of enquiries we’re getting. We couldn’t be happier with the result and highly recommend Mitchell Digital.

5 star review from Leslie

At Cosmetic Skin & Laser Center, we’ve had Kane as our web developer for one year and we’re so grateful for him! In addition to providing excellent website/WordPress support and maintenance, he goes above and beyond – truly caring about helping with design to boost conversion rates and strengthen your brand’s online reputation. Very highly recommended.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Why Beaver Builder instead of Elementor or another page builder?

Track record and where it came from. I started using it about six months after launch and I’ve built on it from version 1 to today, so I know exactly how it behaves. It was also built differently to most page builders on the market: an agency built it to solve their own problem of building sites faster, then realised it was good enough to sell. Elementor took the opposite approach, built from the start as a numbers-driven DIY tool with a pricing model designed to lock in as many users as possible. I’d rather build on a tool made by people solving the same problem I have, not one built to maximise subscriptions.

  • Isn't Beaver Builder slow or bloated compared to newer builders?

No, not in practice. Sites I build on Beaver Builder typically load in 700ms to 1000ms. Switching to something lighter usually only saves around 200ms at the very best, and that’s chasing speed as the only priority. It’s not enough of a difference to give up everything else Beaver Builder does well.

  • Can you take over a Beaver Builder site someone else built?

Yes. I regularly take over hosting and support for existing Beaver Builder sites, whether that’s ongoing maintenance or extending what’s already there with new functionality.

  • What if Beaver Builder can't do what I need?

That’s not really a “what if” for me, it’s standard practice. Every Beaver Builder site I build already includes custom modules, and some are built entirely from scratch for that client. It’s part of why businesses come to me specifically for Beaver Builder work.

  • Do you still recommend Beaver Builder in 2026?

Yes, for the sites it’s right for. Beaver Builder’s updates are deliberately slow and stable, not chasing every new trend, which is exactly why I trust it not to break your site. It’s not the trendiest option on the market, but it’s the one with a decade-plus track record, mine included, of just working.

  • Is Beaver Builder good for non-technical teams?

Yes, that’s one of its strongest points. Visual, drag-and-drop editing means your team can make day-to-day updates themselves, which is often the whole point of choosing it over a more rigid platform.
