WordPress Hosting & Support, Your Website’s Insurance Policy

A website isn’t a one-off job. It needs updates, backups, security patches, and someone who notices when something’s wrong before you do. I host and support over 60 websites on the same standardised setup, so I know exactly how each one is built and can troubleshoot fast when something goes wrong.

Proof it works

Lowther Castle & Gardens came to me after an unresponsive previous developer left their infrastructure unmanaged. I took over hosting, migrated everything to a dedicated server, and it’s been stable for over two years, including handling the traffic spikes that come with national TV coverage. When an email deliverability issue affected one client’s contact form, I rolled out proper email delivery safeguards across every client on the same stack, so the same problem couldn’t happen to anyone else.

Who this is for

  • Anyone who wants their website to just work, without becoming their own tech support
  • Businesses that want one person accountable for their site’s health, not a support ticket that gets picked up by whoever’s free
  • Existing Mitchell Digital build clients, and businesses coming from a previous developer who’s stopped responding

Who this isn’t for

  • Anyone wanting a one-off fix on an unfamiliar setup with no ongoing relationship. I can’t take responsibility for a site I don’t otherwise manage or understand.
  • Anyone expecting free changes to content as part of a hosting plan. Updates and maintenance are covered. New content and copy changes are a separate conversation.

If that’s you, no hard feelings, but we’re probably not the right fit. I’d rather tell you now than waste your time later.

What you get

Updates and security handled before you notice

Core, theme, and plugin updates, security monitoring, and malware checks, all running in the background. Most issues get caught and fixed before you even know there was a problem.

Backups you can actually rely on

Regular, tested backups, so if something does go wrong, we’re not starting from nothing.

Premium plugin licensing included

The same tools I use across every site, often worth hundreds of pounds a year if you bought them individually, included as part of your support plan.

A person who answers

Not a ticket queue. When something breaks, you get me, someone who already knows your site, not someone reading your setup for the first time.

Guidance when you need it, not just fixes

Questions about what to change, what’s worth paying for, or what’s causing an issue get an honest answer, not a quote for unnecessary extra work.

What Our Clients Actually Say About Us

We’ve helped businesses generate millions in revenue, provided years of reliable technical support, and rescued companies from digital disasters. But don’t take our word for it – here’s what our clients have to say.

5 star review from Tina Robson

We had a great experience working with Kane at Mitchell Digital. He really took the time to understand our business and what we wanted from the website, which made the whole process easy and stress-free. The finished site looks amazing, it reflects our branding perfectly, and has already made a big difference to the number of enquiries we’re getting. We couldn’t be happier with the result and highly recommend Mitchell Digital.

5 star review from Leslie

At Cosmetic Skin & Laser Center, we’ve had Kane as our web developer for one year and we’re so grateful for him! In addition to providing excellent website/WordPress support and maintenance, he goes above and beyond – truly caring about helping with design to boost conversion rates and strengthen your brand’s online reputation. Very highly recommended.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What's actually included in support?

Updates, security monitoring, backups, premium plugin licensing, and a fast response when something breaks. It’s ongoing responsibility for your site’s health, not just a maintenance checklist.

  • Can I host my website myself instead?

You can. You’ll also take on updates, backups, security, licensing costs, and the responsibility for fixing anything that breaks. Some businesses are set up for that. Most aren’t, and that’s fine, that’s exactly what this service exists for.

  • What happens if my site gets hacked or breaks?

You contact me and I fix it. Because I already know how your site is built, from the standardised stack I use across clients, fixes are usually faster than starting from scratch with an unfamiliar setup.

  • Do you offer emergency support outside normal hours?

Genuine emergencies get a fast response. This isn’t a 24/7 call centre, it’s me, personally responsible for your site, which is a different kind of reliable.

  • What if I want to make my own changes to the site?

You can, and I’ll show you how for the basics. Most clients choose the retainer anyway because it’s faster and they’d rather spend their time running their business.

  • Can I leave if I want to move to someone else?

Yes. It’s your website and your content. I’ll make the handover as straightforward as possible.
